Patricia Hoolihan was born in northern Minnesota, the fifth of eight children. Although still a lover of the northwoods, she eventually migrated to Minneapolis, MN, where she teaches writing at Metropolitan State University and The Loft, a Literary Center. Her latest book, Hands and Heart Together: Daily Meditations for Caregivers, will be released in the fall of 2020 by Holy Cow! Press. Her other books include Storm Prayers – Retrieving and Reimagining Matters of the Soul (North Star Press); Launching Your Teen into Adulthood – Parenting through the Transition (Search Institute Press); A Moment’s Peace for Parents of Teens – 365 Rejuvenating Reflections (Search Institute Press); Teen Girls Only! Daily Thoughts for Teenage Girls (Holy Cow! Press); and Small Miracles – Daily Meditations for Mothers in Recovery (Bantam). She has published essays and articles in numerous magazines, among them articles on flying placed in Flight Training Magazine and Canadian Aviator Magazine. Her life and writing interests span flight, family, parenting, spirituality, nature, fitness and more. For fun she makes jewelry and windchimes out of fishing lures.
